Phoenix Group was formed in 2004 by a group of leading Nottinghamshire farming businesses, who were looking to build upon their experience in growing, packing and distribution of vegetables to drive the development of the UK market for premium quality seed oils. The business has grown to become the largest cold-pressed seed oils facility in the UK, offering customers integrated pressing, filling and packaging services all at one site.

Our scalable seed pressing facility allows for ultimate flexibility in the seeds we can press and the batch volumes we can accept – we press batches of just a few kilograms, through to hundreds of tonnes. Our extensive grower network provides us with access to seeds from the UK and further afield, meaning that that we can effectively tailor our oil quality and provenance to your needs. Alternatively we’re happy to press seeds sourced by you.

To produce pure cold-pressed oil, which is completely free from contaminants, effective filtration is essential. We have several filter systems that can be used in different combinations to achieve the level of purity that our customers require. We can filter down to 0.2 microns in diameter if required, producing a very stable, sterile oil.

We started to offer filling, labelling and packing services following requests from our customers for an ‘end-to-end’ service. Our contract services business has grown from strength to strength; our flexibility, quick turnaround and consistent quality have made us the contract packer of choice for many of our customers.
